Yellowstoner Hopper

A buoyant foam hopper pattern designed to imitate the large grasshoppers trout key in on during late summer. The foam body keeps it riding high while the buggy underbody and profile creates a lifelike presentation.

How to Fish It:

Fish it tight to grassy banks, cut banks, and along shorelines where hoppers often fall into the water. It works great as a dry-dropper rig with a nymph underneath.

Best For:

Mid-summer through early fall when grasshoppers are active and trout are looking up for big meals.

Why We Like It:

It floats extremely well, is easy to see on the water, and big trout rarely ignore a well-presented hopper.
