Pike Bunny

The Pike Bunny is a proven predator fly built for big eats. With its flowing tail, strong profile in the water and enticing movement, this pattern is a go-to for pike, walleye and other aggressive species. This fly can handle violent strikes and long fights without falling apart.

When to fish: Anytime predatory fish are hunting in shallow to mid-depth water. This fly shines during early season ice-out, spring cruising, summer weed-line prowling, and fall when big pike push baitfish into pockets. If the water has a bit of a stain or the fish are cruisng the edges, this fly will work!

How to fish it: Use a steady strip-pause retrieve to let the tail flutter. Short, sharp strips make it kick like a wounded baitfish, while long, slow pulls give it a smooth swimming motion. Run it along weed edges, structure or through flats. A sink tip or intermediate line helps keep it in the zone without diving to fast.

Why I love it: The movement is unbeatable - the tail comes alive with zero effort. It pushes a great profile, triggers aggressive follows, and holds up to the toothy hits. It's simple, durable, and flat out deadly with pike!
