Cross-Eyed Muddler

A twist on the classic Muddler Minnow, the Cross-Eyed Muddler features a spun head to create a unique swimming action. This fly is perfect for imitating sculpins, small baitfish, or other bottom-dwelling prey, making it irresistible to trout and other predatory fish. 

How to fish it: Swing it through current seams, strip it slowly along drop-offs, or bounce it along the bottom to mimic a sculpin or panicked baitfish. Effective on floating, sink-tip or full-sinking lines. 

Best for: Rivers, streams, and lakes where predatory fish target bottom-dwelling baitfish and sculpins. Excellent in both clear and slightly stained water.
